Stacy. You are an amazing inspiration and an embodiment of that Jamaican attitude of you can do anything you want to. I believe in that attitude and I love it especially when we had others before us who did not take no the Hon. Louis Bennet Coverly and Grace Jones to name a few. Continue doing your work in encouraging other women to be bold and follow their dreams.

Hey Stacey!
I'm pumped that you are promoting Dave's book. I began reading it many years ago, many times over, and I wrote and recorded a song about the whole thing.

I'm a musician, and the song I wrote is called "Call of the Wheel". It's an ode to the writers' road, and is about reading the book and living the rock'n'roll dream vicariously through Dave's story, and staying at home instead of touring. (As well, it includes the adventures one can live by reading other books).

If you want to add this song to your argument in any way, I'd be happy to share it with you.

Humourously, Dave's book didn't work completely to vanquish my dreams of rock'n'roll touring- I'm recording this song and 13 others, and going out on tour this summer, with my wife and dogs!

All the best with Canada Reads and your own exciting career!!
Sincerely,
Sandy
