2 winners from my Walk This Way Workshops walk off contest (January 16,2010) won front row seats with me to LG Fashion Week, we had a great time watching the shows and meeting with the designers. I want my students to get information about the industry first hand from myself/agents/designers, industry heads that can help them along their journey.
This year LG Fashion Week was held in a new venue on the Exhibition grounds. I loved the space and length of the runway! But overall the event seemed quite empty, could be it was during Passover. One thing for sure the gift bags were on point for the first time! Evan B gift bag was proper with organic facial and body products, Orange by Angela Chen was proper too with French wine and tons of Starbucks coffees in different flavors (my bf enjoyed them very much!). In regards to the collections, loved quite a few Andy The Ahn pieces, I copped 2 pieces from Evan B to be worn the following day! Have my eye on a fly short with cape from Orange!
I would have to say the main highlight at fashion week this season was the petition created by 3 models called “Feed The Models”, it came as a shock to quite a lot of people including myself who felt signing it would not be enough, so, I approached a few local businesses to donate whatever they can. Thank you to Lettieri, Organic Boutique and Gourmet Burger for donating great food. These young models were brave enough to put this issue to the forefront and I give them a major big up for that!
NYC fashion week was serenely quiet for me this season. The economy as well as the loss of one of the wickedest designers of all time Alexander McQueen was felt everywhere I turned. Either way I enjoy coming to NYC for fashion week, I am always well received even when not working it on the runway. J’ADORE NEW YORK!

I enjoyed meeting & speaking at Woodgreen Community Youth Group, North Albion Middle School and Toronto Public Library in Toronto Canada. I would like to stress to my fellow peers that it is very important to go back into your communities and give back to the youths. I was surprise to learn from these youths that not one person has come back to at least meet and speak to them and they don’t understand why especially when a lot of these well known artists are from their if not similar neighborhoods. I know you all have very busy lives, however you can take and hour or two out of 1 day to make a difference in these youths lives. Take the time to go out and let these kids know that if you can do it they can too!

I would like to take the time out to thank my family, friends, clients and fans who have supported me throughout all the years. We are all blessed and it’s important for us to give thanks not only to the most high but to each and everyone that helped shape our lives each and every New Year!

I am giving aspiring designers the opportunity to be recognized by wearing one of their designs to a major event.
Send me pictures/websites to see your designs and if I like anything I WILL ROCK IT for you to an event! Get on it now if you want ME to rock YOU at at a major event!!!
